Varsity Women’s Soccer Coach Position Now Open at Grissom High School

After a very successful 2006 season, Coach Erick Chomskis has decided to go out on top and resign his position as coach of the Grissom Lady Tigers Varsity Soccer Team.  We sincerely thank Coach Chomskis for his dedication and hard work for the past three years and we wish him continued success in his future endeavors. 

As a result of Coach Chomskis’ departure, Grissom High School is searching for a qualified coach for our Women’s Varsity Soccer Program.  Request that all interested applicants for this position contact Christia Woodford (Grissom Women's Soccer Association President), who will be collecting this information for Grissom High School. 

Key qualifications desired for this position are as follows:

US or State soccer coaching license ("D" or better is preferred)

Club coaching experience*

Experience coaching girl’s teams

Availability for games and daily practices

Ability to work amicably with the booster club, team faculty sponsors, and the school administration

Experience/understanding of the Grissom (or similar) girls soccer program and its history

*AHSAA rules allow current (fall 2006) club coaches, of any age group, to apply for and be accepted for this position.  However, once the high school season begins, they will no longer be able to coach a club team with a Grissom player on their roster.
