Pop Warner Football Association plays in the North Alabama Pop Warner
Football League with other North Alabama teams from Danville, Falkville, Madison,
Madison Academy, Madison County District 3, Monrovia and West Morgan.

Pop Warner
Pop Warner is the only
National Youth Football & Cheerleading Program in the United States.
Pop Warner is currently celebrating its 72nd Anniversary.
More than 300,000 kids, 35,000 coaches,
and 750,000 plus parents and friends are a part of Pop Warner. It is
estimated that more than 3+ million volunteers and supporters nationwide
follow Pop Warner.
Pop Warner participants range in age from five to fifteen, with the
majority in the eight to thirteen age range. Yes, girls can play
football and boys are allowed to be cheerleaders. Flag and tackle
football, cheerleading, and dance programs can be found in thirty-eight
states and in Mexico, Russia, and Japan.
Pop Warner is the only national youth sports organization which
emphasizes academic excellence. Athletes must demonstrate satisfactory
classroom progress each year before they are allowed to compete. Pop
Warner recognizes first and second team Academic All-American
scholar/athletes, and provides scholarships for higher education on a
yearly basis.
Pop Warner is the oldest established Coaching Education &
Instruction Program among any of the national youth sports organization.
Keeping the program safe and fun for all participants is among Pop
Warner's highest priorities. Pop Warner provides the only national youth
football program rule book, to assure consistency and safety.
Pop Warner has expanded working relationships with the following NFL,
NFL Players Inc, Walt Disney World, Walt Disneyland, Fox/Fox SportsNet,
NBC, ESPN/ABC and a growing number of corporate contributors, sponsors
and, licensers such as Reebok, US Airways, First USA, Wilson, Riddell,
and many more.
With school budget cuts eliminating Elementary/Middle School
extra-curricular activities, Pop Warner has become an important ally to
local schools and parks & recreation programs.
High School football and cheer coaches rely on Pop Warner athletes as
the ones who have had proper training in the fundamentals in their
sport. These scholar/athletes are the ones who show discipline,
teamwork, and strong leadership in all levels of the sport.
First games are in September and the season runs until then end of October.
After Jr. Pee Wee & Pee Wee Championships, the
winners may go to
Jacksonville, Florida for a bowl game sponsored
by Pop Warner.
Games are played on Saturday mornings.
Home games are played at Cedar Ridge Middle School.
