How could they forget? A year ago at the NAIA Softball
Championships, the Saints suffered the worst loss in tournament
history. But on Saturday at Wilson Morgan Park, they scored a
measure of redemption with a 3-2, 10-inning win over Point Loma
Nazarene. Not only did the victory clinch a spot in the eight-team
double-elimination finals, which begin Monday, but the win came
against the same team that beat the Saints 21-1 in last year's
opening round. To read the complete article on-line go to

NAIA tourney brings old faces to town -
Top seeds know their way around the River City

The NAIA Softball Championships return to Wilson Morgan Park
this week, and the tournament brings plenty of familiar faces to
town.
All of the top eight seeds also played in last year's
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics tournament. In
addition, five of the remaining 12 squads in the field have played
in Decatur at least once in the past three years.
The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Friday and continue
through May 25, taking Sunday off. Admission is $20 for an
all-tournament pass or $5 a day for adults and $1 a day for
students.
