What to do in case you think inclement weather will cause your NASL game to be cancelled. 

      Over the years, games have seldom been cancelled so you normally show up and expect to play - even in rain. However we have had some really nasty weather lately so in case you think the game might be cancelled you can contact Craig Hardwick at the phone numbers above. Whenever Craig (field scheduler) or Mike (referee assignor) let me know that fields are closed I send out a notice to the NASL e-mail list. You should sign up for the NASL e-mail list on the website at http://www.nasl.com/Email.htm
     The procedure for ASA State games cancelled by weather is different and is listed below.

This is the procedure to follow for rain out games.

• Home Team:
  • Contacts field coordinator and or/field conditions hotline (check early)
  • Contacts opponent in sufficient time of game status (early)
     
• Field Coordinator:
  • Contacts assignor - early
     
• Assignor:
  • Will communicate with referees.
